If the requirement of having a flat grey background is not met, we will unfortunately have to suspend the VRI (Video Remote Interpreting) option in your profile until you undergo a successful test call with our team to validate that you have the appropriate background. If your computer doesn't meet the technical specifications required for the virtual background option, you'll need to opt for a physical grey background instead. This ensures that the necessary criteria are met for successful interpretation sessions.
We are trialing several different virtual options, and will share our findings.
Virtual backgrounds that have watermarks will NOT be allowed.
We will also allow physical options, including cloth (with no wrinkles!!!), paint, pull down/retractable backgrounds.
We expect all interpreters providing services to GLOBO to comply with this requirement as soon as possible, with the deadline now extended to Monday, April 15, 2024.
